Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-06-18. RenoSheets is built around a simple principle: we don't collect, store or transmit your personal data. We have no user accounts and no server-side database.

Data you save stays on your device

Calculations run in your browser, and anything you save — including projects and kanban boards — is stored locally (IndexedDB) on your own device. It is never sent to us, and it is permanently lost if you clear your browser data, use private/incognito mode, or switch browser or device. Because we keep no copy, backing up your data is up to you: use the Export backup option on the My Sheets page to save a file you can re-import later.

Cookies & your choices

Essential storage needed for the site to work (your saved projects, language and theme) is always active and stays on your device. Non-essential cookies — used for advertising and analytics — are off by default: we use Google Consent Mode v2, which denies advertising storage, ad user data, ad personalization and analytics storage until you choose “Accept” in our cookie banner. You can decline, and you can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer (or by clearing this site's data in your browser, which brings the banner back).

The third-party services described below may use cookies, web beacons, your IP address, device identifiers and other similar identifiers to deliver their services. If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, you will additionally see Google's own consent prompt (Funding Choices, IAB TCF v2.2-compliant) before any personalized advertising is loaded.

Third-party services

Advertising (Google AdSense): if you consent, Google and its partners (third-party vendors) use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses and device identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Personalized ads carry the AdChoices icon; clicking it provides information and opt-out controls. You can also manage preferences in Google Ad Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info. Content delivery (Cloudflare): our site is served via Cloudflare, which may log your IP address and basic technical request data for security, abuse prevention and performance. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Analytics: if you consent, we use aggregate, anonymized usage analytics only — never to identify you.
Affiliate links: retailers and networks may set cookies to attribute a referral; we receive only aggregate commission reports, not your personal information.

These providers are independent third parties that process data under their own privacy policies, which may involve servers outside your country.

Children's privacy

The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights & consent

Where required (including Québec's Law 25 and the GDPR), we request consent before non-essential cookies are set, and you may withdraw consent at any time. We do not sell or share personal information.
